I am thoroughly impressed with the life of Miyamoto Musashi. His story is not just that of a swordsman, but of a person who pursued mastery in every dimension of his existence. What strikes me most is the insane amount of discipline he carried, the willingness to live outside of comfort, and the way he treated the path of strategy as a lifelong practice rather than a talent he was born with.
