Almost DNF. The childhood story is well written and shocking; the perspective just how a child would see things, the bullying and the effect it has on the victim a difficult but fascinating read. The last quarter of the book descends into a pedestrian, adult life attempting to tie up loose ends. This book would live up to it's "gripping and irresistible" review if it stopped when the victim overcomes, at p193
