There’s lots of jarring gore, but written cleverly so as to be appreciable. I find it funny how matter of fact things are stated but made beautiful through their writing. It makes me want to take notes on how she writes. Sometimes I find the traumatic scenes overwhelming, and then funnily enough the character comes out of a dissociative state as if leaving one with me from reading.
