though I got confused - when the summary started talking about the author being from WWII era I thought the book took place in that timeframe like German Jews in hiding or something
@Elise I feel like people are really split on this book! It has a 4+ star rating but 3 people I follow on goodreads gave it a 2 sooooo we'll see where I land
