I liked this take on the age gap and sunshine/ black cat. Dawson’s grumpy broken persona wasn’t too exhausting and the trial added a new and different element. Cam was of course lovely and fun and bright. His struggles at the beginning of the book gave his character depth as well. Even Shane was fun. Looking forward to figuring out what’s happening with Nate in the next book.
