Cormac's first appearance in this story is a stark contrast to the almost friendly relationship he had with Kitty in the last; why the sudden shift? And come to think of it, when did Kitty and Ben get so friendly? Could just be a sign that Vaughn had a better sense of where she wanted the series to go since the first book, but without explanation, it's a little odd.
