Don't know why I considered this a slog the first time I read it back six months ago. It's not the fastest read I've ever read in the world, but far from a slog.

I'll probably return to this sooner rather than later, since I do want to watch the film version, but not now.

I had also intended to read more than just the first chapter today--ideally the first part--but i found it an absolute slog to get through already, so rather than give up on it (since I still want to see the movie version) I'm going one chapter at a time.
