But, there were some faithful Israelites who knew that the Savior would fulfill what the Promised Land symbolized: a place in eternity with God. Jesus Christ was this Savior. Though many believed Him to lead a revolution against the Roman government’s oppression, Jesus actually led a rebellion against sin’s oppression.

Everyone who believes in Jesus receives His purity and is washed white as snow. God no longer asks Christians to uphold the ritual purity laws. Instead, He asks them to pursue living with a pure and undefiled heart which can only be accomplished through the power of the Spirit. Christians are declared clean before God. Their sins cannot change their standing with God because it is dependent on the purity of Jesus.

The gift of Jesus’s sacrifice is incomprehensible. All who believe in Him are freed from the consequences of sin and death. God in His grace sent Jesus to atone for our sins, Jesus in His love willingly suffered God’s wrath and died, and we are now able to stand before God blameless and righteous. We could not receive better news than this!
