are you really a bookworm if you never had your book taken from you as punishment when you were a child?

i’m glad i’m not the only one 😭 i have this rly distinct memory of my dad confiscating my nancy drew book 😔
Help, once I disobeyed my mom and she forbade me from reading fiction for a month. I read so many biographies and learned more about Amelia Earhart than I ever cared to know.
Oh yeah I distinctly remember my mom doing it when I was little and now my sister hides my books all the time 💀😂😭
Oh then I’m definitely a bookworm, I didn’t have a lot of tech when I was younger. Honestly the kids who have to read when they’re grounded are so lucky
I used to bring a book to the dinner table and got in trouble everytime. My dad used to look my library up when I got in trouble.
I thought this was an original experience 😭😭 or my mom would say we couldn’t go to the library that weekend and I cleaned up my act REAL QUICK after that lmaooo
I took my book with me literally EVERYWHERE as a child and when my mom took it away I would literally go sob my eyes out 😭
Unfortunately yes. My sister was allowed to party and stay out with her bf all night but I got in trouble... for reading. Cuz that makes sense
