chanel talking about the other american events during the time that she was writing this 3 trump’s election, cosby, weinstein, nassar, the brutal comparison of brock to all those predators, and her words on philando castile’s murder and “If punishment is based on potential, privileged people will be given lighter sentences” AND THEN BROCK’S APPEAL? im so glad i took my time w this book, almost done3

i was wondering if she’d talk about her relationship w/ sex afterwards, then i was blessed to see her do a whole Overview of gently respecting, loving, and nourishing herself :) “maybe now, you are terrified… I am trapped, this is not how it’s supposed to be. Just remember: the temperature is slowly changing, you are adjusting. You will make it into that pond. With a little more time, you’ll be free.”

i’m genuinely so moved, the sentence hearing was a GUT punch & then her aftermath BUT THEN the transition to the buzzfeed article?? chanel’s victim statement is what drove me to BUY the book like reading it online made me tear up!! but even then i forgot that it blew up for a moment, & was So moved by the bittersweetness of chanel accepting the sentencing, choosing to Move forward as best she can :( BLESS KATIE!!

i’m celebrating with you too chanel:’) her anxiety, pain, fear, dread, anger, and RELIEF i felt in tenfold!! i mean i knew the outcome but GOD i hope that on her worst days she rides out on this moment of victory and relief

guilty of tearing up at every other page where chanel’s family is involved; bravo for writing how GRUESOME and cruel the courtroom is, she makes it feel so sterile and Pulls us into her shoes and hagdgevevw!!!! shout out to her brief stay at RISD for print making, and then at philly w/ yer comedy show era shes so cool!! and GOD the elder sister syndrome and the devotion she has towards tiffy and her guilt for-

CHASE THEIR ASS!! CHASE THEM!!! and chanel feeling inadequate and inept and crying by a river #alsorelatable and UGH lucas :( hes such a sweetie but i miss tiffy

the whole segment with chanel and her parents stuck out to me the most :( i love getting insight from her childhood/younger-ish years on why+how she copes/processes the way she does, it’s VERY eldest sister syndrome unfortch, but watching her detach is gut wrenching GOD and her boyfriend too is so lovely, she had such an amazing support system :’) but shit finding shit out from NEWS articles-

chanel miller is a PHENOMENAL writer i’m already so hooked, and i was hooked BEFORE when i read her victim’s statement!! teared up a bit and we’re only on chapter 1, im so excited to keep reading :’)
