I would have given a bonus point for that bit of representation (It is after all a bit refreshing after the blatant, homophobic pseudo-one back in Blausteinkriege 2) but the way it was done + the bi-erasure-y undertone taste sour.

I still have a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around just why exactly magic even exists in the story's world. It feels superfluous looking at what it is 'commonly' used for, not important enough on a regular basis to justify the whole plot going on with it.

I'm positively surprised. The first chapter still has some of the technical problems I know the author still has not dropped, but overall it read a lot better, smoother and more entertaining than the first book in its entirety.
