*Sir Philip said: 'Are you happy, my Stephen?
And she answered: I'm dreadfully happy, Father. I'm so dreadfully happy that it makes me feel frightened, cause I mayn't always last happy - not this way."

“The ageing and the cynical may make wars, but the young and the idealistic must fight them,”

To love one must pay the dept of suffering just as much, to dream of vast lands and plump fruits one must visit nightmarish fields and stroll along rotten flesh

he who is allowed to swim in the joys of books must also drown in them

ie- i feel as if this book has sucked the life out of me.

there are some acts which seem rather small but in truth grotesque like the most ghastly sight imaginable

In this instance i speak of sharing a lovers letter with foreign eyes, uninvited gazes that should burn like a unwelcome vampire!!!

“she had not yet learnt her hard lesson - she had not yet learnt that the loneliest place in this world is the no-man's land of sex.

book is making me relive buried childhood memories

Love Stephen tho, she loves body building, fencing and horse riding 🏇

we would be buds, wish she was real

by completely coincidence and or divine intervention my following line up of books are all written by woman.
Happy women’s history month as i start with a beautiful introduction

“i told her to write what was in her heart, that so far as any effect upon myself was concerned, I was sick to death of ambiguities, and only wished to be known for what I was and to dwell with her in the palace of truth."
