as a teacher, i love how this book encourages children to read novels because it is decodable and has some lovely rhyme and rhythm to help them develop their teacher’s voice. the shortness of it, however, does not fully lend itself to developing the plot… idk maybe i’m judging a children’s book (that i love) as an avid reader???
