I DNF'ed this book. I tried... But I just couldn't. The characters were tough to get on board with even though they had some relatable aspects. The use of the R-word even from the "voice" of a 14 year old is completely unnecessaryand soured me, from an essentially mild mannered and intelligent character. The obsessive object of her affection is pompous and irritating. Not to mention the lazy parallels to other books.
