Elvis was a sleaze...
we would label him a pedophile with his harem of 14-16 year old girls.
Priscilla wondered if she had made a big mistake. Who was this confident 27-year-old man and how could he possibly be interested in her? He went on playing pool, coming back from time to time to give her a kiss, continuing to play the star role, while treating her like a prize possession meant to be casually shown off.

This book sounded interesting until I saw how many pages it was. That’s too many pages for me when it comes to a “Star” …that’s all you buddy.

The first book was *only* 560 pages. 😅 I've been chipping away at it for over a year and, honestly, it's fantastic... the meticulous research and details! 🤯 But it's certainly not for everyone... not a "casual" read.
And, while I have you on the phone, just finished the Paul McCartney documentary... FANTASTIC! Thanks for making me aware of it ... I don't watch a lot of Prime. Now I need to find a strong McCartney bio/memoir! Oh wait... there's already a bio on my TBR!😂 Because of course there is! 🤷♂️ As far as "memoirs" go, I see The Lyrics and Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run which I'll want to dive into eventually, too. SHEESH! 😝
I’m dying with laughter with “while I have you on the phone” 😆😆….and Im so glad you enjoy the documentary! …..and I’m looking forward to reading the second book of Chers bc the first one just ended at an odd spot. As for Elvis, as much as you almost convinced me to read it ….that’s too many pages for me to read about a “star”. And your brain is younger than mind bc there is no way I could read on a book for a yr bc I would’ve forgotten everything along the way with that much time in between reading.

I didn't really spend a year on it ... several months early last year (I think) on the first book and then started this second one in January. A few hours per week but trying to pick up the pace because I wanna get to more in the genre, like 'Cher'.
