what a neat book! its a post apocalyptic book set in the ruins near pittsburgh pa i think. its really similar to the stand still, stay silent webcomic. theres a weird manmade pandemic that makles vaguely christian mutated monsters. the cast is most queer and POC which is a refreshing change! their community is loosely anarchist organized which is another neat thing. i still have 75% of the book left and am excited!

wow! stuff is finally starting to happen the plot advances but in a body horror direction. nothing triggery, just gross, unexpected but welcome! i cant tell where this is going but i'm in for the ride! yaaaaayyy!

nice! so this book is set up for 4 stars so far. the worldbuilding and characters are great. the author covers some of the internal debate in the lgbtq community over neopronouns and queerness in general. its nice, not polemic, very realistic character development in the post apocalypse.
