Not a spoiler really but a Vivimancer is sort of like an alchemist that can control and manipulate people's bodies, whereas an animancer can do with minds

@Courtney THANK YOU - I thought it was this but there’s so much going on ya know
Yeah it is really a high fantasy book and the beginning of it can be tough to pick apart all the concepts but the overall story is worth it. I had some trouble grasping parts of the ending personally and was thinking of a reread. But 1000 page reread is not to be taken lightly...
