The clash between my creaturely desire to avoid thought or apply my mind at all costs and the rich, needful food of connecting ideas which fuel my starving mind and that of my children’s has been a humbling one. But as Glass quotes, “education is not the filling of a bucket but the lighting of a fire” and I intend to light mine so that I may light my children’s each and every day.
