Narrative could be clearer. We go further back in time with each chapter, yet the author brings us back to present or more recent eras constantly.
Melts your brain given you are also trying to keep track of where he’s going with a six line long sentence…

Five million years ago and the world map is still pretty recognisable! Learned about the phenomenons of size in islands - dwarfism vs gigantism 🐐

Interesting and quite intense to read. Halliday transports you to previous versions of the world as promised, sometimes at the cost of your brain hurting. Likely to be some of the most descriptive writing I’ve ever read - although it does work in this context.
