I think that if I was Greg, I would have checked where the smell was coming from first. He made a mistake using the source of the smell (Rodrick's socks) as a smell blocker. More exaggeration from the author!! In real life, the country fair wouldn't have the foulest footwear contest. I think in real life, they also wouldn't have the national foulest footwear contest. Why does Greg keep seeing the Beardos around?

Rodrick is being stupid again when he thought that the cinnamon rolls that exploded was he brain. I fell bad for their luck with the car. I liked how Manny learned perfect Spanish from his mom's CDs. I was surprised when they took Greg's family to the petting zoo. I liked how when they got the pig back, the pig learned how to use the remote control. I think that Greg will choose to blame Rodrick about the locker key.

I think it's really sad when Greg's parents decided to take the pig and give it to the petting zoo. I think his mom is mean how she used a pet leash on her child. I guess she really didn't have a choice because she couldn't control him, but using a leash on him is still wrong. I wonder how Manny got out of the bathroom without Greg noticing.

I like how there was a picture of the pig sitting in the cooler looking at Greg.Rodrick is stupid this time because when they were getting a hotel, he told the clerk about the pig and the hotel wouldn't accept them.Rodrick was also acting stupid when he was throwing the gum out of the sun roof. It got stuck because of him.I think this part was funny because with all the stuff going on, the pig ran out of the cooler.

I wonder how Manny can guess the pig's weight exactly right? Is is because he was destined for the baby pig? I am kind of glad that the locals made he family take the baby pig. I think that the pig will make the story more interesting. I like how in the illustration, it shows a picture of the pig and manny 'bonding'. I think Rodrick is very stupid because he thinks the pig will serve him bacon everyday.

I think that the motel condition was very bad. If it was my family, we would have chosen another place to stay. I wouldn't want to sleep on a dirty bed with dirty mattresses.I think if I was Rodrick, I would be more considerate and buy more practical food. I think that the author exaggerates Rodrick's character too much. In real life, I don't think a teenager would be as stupid thinking that the safe was a microwave.

I think that the author exaggerates Greg's family's misfortune a lot. In this part, his dad's boat had a tree growing through the middle, preventing them from using the boat. He also described that it took the family three hours to cut the tree and load the rest of the stuff out of the boat. I think if the author didn't exaggerate, this book would not be very interesting and readers would not want to read this book.

If greg is a dad, he said would let his kids play electronics whenever they want to. I think that Greg is missing the point where if you're a parent, you would care about your children and would want to know what is going on in their school and about other things. When he said that electronics are the key to happiness, he is wrong because you would get happy from socialising with others more than playing electronics.

In the first part of the book, I think that it wasn't interesting except the part when Greg's dad bought a boat and parked it in the front of their house. I think it doesn't sound realistic. In real life, if you are going to buy a boat, you would have to take a long time to decide if you want it and if it's really relevant to your life. In this part, Greg's dad just bought the book right away when it was on sale.
