I am convinced this book was written by a ghost writer. So many plot inconsistencies and Reed had extreme character assassination. She was incredibly cruel and on an insane power trip. I think this was the worst Private book by far. It’s hard to rate any of these lower than 3 stars but this was not well written. I liked it when I was younger though. As of right now, Noelle is the only saving grace.

How is Josh going to say things with Jen Hathaway didn’t end well and then not explain what happened?! Oh my goodness. The whole family clearly doesn’t like him. Reed didn’t push enough for answers.

Noelle is a better leader than Reed. Reed does not have as much confidence as she thinks she does. Reed also has the audacity to form a secret society and exclude four members of the former Billings House when she knows what it is like to be ostracized. Like Reed kicking Constance out because Billings is not her number one priority is awful. Constance has been a true friend to Reed and this is how Reed repays her.

I have to admit Reed is frustrating this book. I understand Josh prevented Reed from getting shot by Sabine, but she is still somehow in love with this man who didn’t reach out to her whatsoever after finding out what happened to her on the island. He is also dating one of her closest friends. Reed should have never agreed to go to the dance with Sawyer, knowing she still feels so strongly for Josh.
