After discussing James by Percival Everett at book club and learning that it’s based on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, I felt inspired to give it a try. I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer not that long ago and didn’t realize this is basically book two in the series. I never had to read it in high school, so I thought it would be fun to finally check it out especially since I enjoyed both Tom Sawyer & James.
