Still slow going but this book is actually good. The ghost are REALLY scary and this would make an amazing movie. But the language is very flowery and I am not a flowery person - makes it hard to read and quite frankly, there are pockets of this book that are just boring. The author goes on and on about the protagonists hangs ups. I guess this is character development? But 4 stars.

It’s been almost two months and I am only one-third of the way through this book. Says everything. It’s not that it’s a bad book - but the language is hard to deal with. It’s very flowery and emotional. Cora is something of a mess so the author goes to town with all the descriptive inward turmoil. That’s basically 80% of the book so far. But thankfully the ghost has arrived so let’s see.
