Enva's music and everyone's asleep. Yes it happened on Dacre and her wedding night- how could have I missed that. Like I knew that part from Divine rivals but then I thought that sleeping part was probably set in the timeline after this book- because this book is specially set with gods. But No!
Underlings are all asleep. That thing from history has happened and now she cannot ask Bade for help aaaaaaaaa

Sir went deep into he river after her, to wanting to save her (while being a mortal).

They posed as husband and wife. Also Vincent? He's pretending to be tough infront of Matilda but he's all soft beneath the surface.
Matilda remembering Bade when she sees someone looking at Vincent like a father would look. She remembered Bade, pls.. and not Thile- her actual father.

Also, the cunning uncle praying and seeking a god to put infront of Matilda (It's gonna be Warin, isn't it..)

And Warin seems like trouble. Like he's not gonna let things go smoothly in the book at all.
I don't know what the main conflict of the book is going to be yet and which direction it would focus but I have a feeling about the people who would be a problem like Alva, Phylera, WARIN and Vincent's uncle (obv Dacre- we all know).

Okayy. They are adults now. And just met after 13 years!!!!
And there's so much tension...

BADEE is fine. Shukr.
This bitch Dacre. He wouldn't anyone live. Would he. Annoying.

Also, she's going to Vincent after a long long time

I really need to put emphasis on the fact that I love(d) the dynamic between Bade and Matilda aaaaaa.
(Hopefully he's alive when she gets back to underrealm) Pls.

Had to stop in middle of a chapter and aaaaa. I want to continue. Plss- Her mother is dead and her own ally killed her. But plss the way she said the name of her father before dying- so he would understand that the vow has been broken and would look for her and might find Matilda.
Also- the way Matilda ran straight to Bade and he seems so soft and like someone who wants to protect her and an actual ally. Aaaah

What's that one thing about her that Rowena noticed???!! The one thing that death(her character) lied about.. what is it

Also- Bade kind of gave me Madoc vibes. You know made of stone and steel and trying to train Matilda (Madoc and Jude dynamic) & its obviously affecting me. I don't know how his character arc will proceed ahead- considering his affection for poet queen and all. But I do like him and want him to be okayy (which I fear will not be the scenario) aaa.

In short, loving it and can't wait to continue ahead. <3
