-thought I'd disagree with the ghost element of this book altogether but Renata's last conversation with Patrick actually turned me around on the whole thing, they did pull me back. But I don't think the ghostbusters were necessary at all, and this could've been a tender magical-realist exploration of death and life in the AIDS crisis, had it not reached for something bordering on sci-fi. Ehhhh idk i wanted more
