i like the anecdote about belinda (who is always saying things about the narrators work like, "if we had more time we wouldn't submit these revisions! it reflects on me!"). When she hears industry people snarking about belinda, even though she 1. agrees with what they're saying and 2. doesn't like her, she goes up to the table and defends her! that's pretty impressive. it would have been easier to join in

the executives are not happy with her bigfoot script rewrite. my sense is she must be good because she's so scattered and unprofessional and yet she doesn't get fired? maybe they can't. (context: she actually states she has "add" which is unusual for 25 years ago)

when the narrator relates dialogue there's something very douglas coupland-y about it. she spends a great deal of time in her car, (like waaaay too much time) but maybe that's LA? i think this would be better with less car anecdotes....

the script doctor narrator is genuinely weird, i miss having neighbors like her. :( this story is meandering

this started off well but my attention is drifting. arrrgh! i like the experimental style and it's pleasurable in small chunks but it's hard to read large slabs because it feels like it's going nowhere...
