troubled by the fact that so very little has happened nearly halfway through the story. I also feel approximately zero longing here; where is the yearning? I think the emotional setup is flat and drained of most of its potential tension! I have been hoodwinked once again by the hype!

I am continuing to enjoy this, but I’ve just put my finger on the fact that I’m annoyed that nobody but bisclavret has a name, only titles or epithets. it really contributes to the overarching distance of the whole thing; the cover is the most (indeed, the only) colorful thing about this. & 2 b REAL I suspect longman of using the remove to mask a desire to be rampantly horny, which, sigh, I have some thoughts
