it's me and this massive book against the world

I am most struck by Washington's failures. His failures almost seem to make him the type of leader that could help to usher in a new nation. I am also reminded about how much personal economics can shape future politics. Washington's dissatisfaction with the commissions and treatment of Colonial soldiers serving in the Royal military was one of the founding reasons he became disillusioned with Great Britain.
