The Hour I First Believed was a very long listen (about 25 hours). It’s well written, as I’ve come to expect from Wally Lamb, but it dragged in some places. I usually love his books, but this one wasn’t my favorite. There were just too many negative things happening throughout the story, which made it feel heavy at times.
