I love both the Japanese and American films of Ring, so it is fitting that I enjoyed this too. Neither adaption looks at the virus angle of the tapes, the need to spread it before Sadako gets you, yet the book lacks the iconic tv crawl. The book really is it's own beast.

The final part really is the best bit. Snappy, tense, and leaving you wondering what you would do.
