i find it both highly pretentious at times but also extremely rich and layered at other times, i’m finding it difficult whether i actually enjoy reading this or not. it’s not a book to ‘enjoy’ but to feel of course but sometimes with books like these i just can’t get into it. and while starting off strong imo it has become more pretentious as of late
