if you’re close with the person you’re br with it’s so fun and just a good time and if you’re not it’s a really good opportunity to get to know someone better! all of my experiences have been super good

i’ve only done a couple but they’ve all been so so fun! usually we’ll set a date and how much we have to read, but these days i have been reading slower and there’s a pro already! if you’re good friends with the person you’re doing the buddy reading with it’s nice to know that they’ll slow down if need be! also it’s just amazing to have someone to talk about the book with

It varies by person and by preferences. Some readers love to do group reads, some two-people buddy reads, and others don't like either.A successful buddy read depends on personality compatibility more than taste compatibility, because two people can read the same book and one could 1-star it whilst the other 5-stars it, but if you like and respect each other and have good communication/know each other well, the disagreements won't matter.
So, the person you buddy read with matters more than the book you pick. :)
