A book has not made me cry or believe in humanity like this for a very long time. I’m used to feeling like books “come to me” at a certain time for a certain reason but I did not expect based on all of the previous misery within this book that it would end up making me feel this way.

Some of the most well written characters I’ve ever read put in some of the most uniquely sorrowful situations/conversations I’ve ever seen. Will most certainly need to practice my Zazen when I’m done with this one. I hope it ends happily for Nao : (
