Years after reading these pages for the first time, re-entering them reminds one of the elegance of Pynchon's intellect; a place wherein the complexity of thought is so rigorously explored that it evokes that old maxim by Heraclitus: "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." Each sentence allows for a constant flux in the conversation that is reading.
