After reading the first chapter I have two qualms: First, I am seeing a lot of trees but no forest… This might be a me problem but it is hard to stay engaged with such detailed writing when it is hard to attach the details to a clear plot. Second, and maybe this will change as the book progresses, there is no clear character to follow and apparently I need a protagonist to be interested.
