That last one hurt. Good craft! Now I'm curious if the final story which is the single longest in this anthology will hold my attention. I pfrefer my short stories to be - short.

There are always short stories you like more or less than others in an anthology. But funny to encounter this effect within a story itself!

Cute premise, more than flawed execution. Never established how the Buildings walk (grew legs and arms, I guess, suddenly mentioning knees and hands) or kiss and why nowbody gets crushed or damaged. If you have an idea, commit to it. Funny that the first Story I didn't like comes from the highest decorated author up to hhis point.

Funny thing, picking up this book, reading the introduction by my most favourite author (Beagle) just to have him mention Ursula Le Guin, "wisest of us all", whose works I just recently discovered and start to admire more and more.
