make really good plot points/plot layout before starting your book(Save The Cat is great)

give your characters flaws, make them hurt, get attached to them. If you feel fro your character and are moved by them on a personal level, you readers will be too.

Something that’s really helping me is : DONT EDIT
Write your first draft without editing one word. You’ll be tempted to but just pour everything you see in your mind onto paper
You’ll get more written and you won’t get all caught up editing that you’ll still have to edit later.
