taking a break from the bdb series bc I hate butch and want to just pause on reading about him till I find myself back to that series again. oh and wanted to add about z, don’t care so much abt the becoming softer arc but it’s like he lost his past self entirely, there’s no edge? he was cruel and violent before but wouldn’t the edge remain? it’s like he’s a different person entirely.. now on to this book

i know I give every book 3 starts but this book truly was a solid 3 out of the others I read, compared to these, the other 3 star books were solid 3.5. nothing special about this series, compared to the bdb, I felt nothing reading this, no emotion. felt neutral about the characters here. not sure if it’s the writing or the actual characters but this book was eh. am excited to read about clay and dorian tho
