On the chapter about choosing to stay happy and thinking about well I don’t want to choose to stay happy forever? I want to feel other feelings too? Don’t we have to know what it’s like to be sad to be happy? Then this book literally says, “If your husband dies, stay open, don’t close off, continue to choose to be happy.” I was like HUH. I think choosing to be happy is great, BUT it’s also okay not to?
