A new chapter: 23. behind is a lengthy review of the errors of prideful division into parties of "we-good" & "you-bad", we wipe you out to end all conflict. The only "good" ones are perpetually repentant. I may make it through this thick tome, yet!

I have resumed reading, after a long diversion. Nibley makes much better sense when read diligently, than in spurts.

Mark I have finally finished the final chapter, one that makes a strong case for avoiding the aquivitiveness of our modern society: it tolls the death knell of society. Unless the "haves" can relinquish enough of their "having" to make the "needy" co-equal with them, so that there are "no poor among them", no perpetual civilization is possible. Instead, like all civilizations preceeding, they will end in suicide by fanatical factions. Oh, spare me, please!
I have enjoyed thinking Nibley's thoughts.
