It's taking me so long to get through this, but Tad Williams may end up being one of my new favourites. His prose is easily some of the best I've read in fantasy, and I super love Osten Ard right now.

This has to be one of the densest books in fantasy I've read. It takes a LONG time for the story to get going. I'm fine with that, but it can create a steep challenge. Thankfully, in the case of this book, it's balanced with ample reward. Also, probably some of my favourite prose, like, ever. Tad Williams is a gem.
