I read about half of this book when I realized that I was moving through it too quickly to appreciate the poetry as well as I could — so I started over from the beginning, and I am now reading it all aloud to myself. This helps me to notice the details and craft much bette; there is a lot of it to take in and process. I love it.

At halfway through, I am reading along very slowly and often re-reading poems just to cherish every word. It is interesting that the chosen selections go backwards chronologically from previous works yet seem to get more and more beyond the mere observations of the natural world into their potential spiritual significance. I am loving it.
