This book is infuriating. Not because of the book itself, but because of what I’m learning about how utterly deplorable people and systems are.

As if I needed any more reason to dislike Reagan. He ran his campaign on appealing to white voters’ discomfort with Black economic and social progress.

Oof, definitely not an introductory text on the history of American racial politics! Condensing 300+ years of history into 25 pages is/was a challenge.

60 pages, a forward, and two prefaces later, I’ve finally reached page 1 LOL.
