A couple pages ago I was thinking that Peckham and Valenti did something so great in making a male character that I view as irredeemable. He’s not just “morally grey,” he continually makes the incorrect decision and the fmc is such an intelligent character, and when she sees the shift, and extricates herself. THEN they threw in that plot twist?? Omfg
