That was a long read with the extra seven stories. Great book.

25 chapters down. Nigel is a rapist and a murder and he has just been given the keys to the kingdom as everyone falsely believes it’s Damien.

Chapter 18 in the bag. Monsters outside, murdering pedophile inside. Quite the development.

So I gave it a miss for months for person reasons. But today I have re read the fist six chapters plus another 4. So that’s ten chapters down. I think we are on the verge of discovering the real threat inside the snow. I predict Harry & Steph will end up growing closer.

Chapter 6 done. All set in the trumpet. We have our first taste of Damien’s anger. But the guest Irishman finally manages to calm things down

Chapter 5 is done. Snow is continuing to fall. Power is out. Phone lines down. Jess is missing outside the supermarket and can not see two inches in front of her face due to the snowfall.

Chapter 4. New scheme. Blue Rays the DVD rental store near the supermarket and pub from earlier. We are introduced to Ben & Jerry. Friends. The ice cream namesakes are mention in a tounge and cheek moment.

Chapter 3 done. Introducing to a new character. A non-local Irish man named Lucas Fergus.
