How would Charlotte’s family have found out about Mr. Darcy’s proposal to Lizzie? Nobody even knows besides Lizzie, him, Jane, and probably Bingley.
Also fuck off with the having Collins and Charlotte have kids 🙄 always gotta be forced into romance books

The two biggest ways that the author has altered the plot is by
-making Lydia not marry Wickham,
-and by changing a little bit about the conversation between Lady Catherine and Elizabeth

In the 2005 movie, Mrs. Bennett’s brother does not have any children I believe. In this book, he does.

Because it’s kind of an alternate futuristic-y sci-fi future, Lydia running away didn’t ruin her “image” (perceived virginity, being alone with a man, etc.) The author changes that storyline to Lydia agreeing to leave Wickham by going to art school, and Wickham still has to be paid to leave her.
