Taking a hiatus from this. I read an abridgement that had been published in 1994 back in January, and wanted to see how much of the FULL set I could get through. I caved. Yes, there might be passages that had to be left out of the abridgement, but I found that the massive number of examples of cultural and regional practices presented in volume 1 left me gasping and grasping to be finished. I might some day return.
