i like reading about Jane, but the author writes her story very poorly and i’m very confused who she’s talking about sometimes, saying “Birkin did this” after mentioning 3 of her family members so I don’t know which person is being discussed. why not just use first names? written like an essay if anything…

she keeps mentioning Jane’s diary as well so I feel like I might as well just have read her published diary instead of this summary of it that lacks all character
