Hmm... interesting way to start the story. Will this be a "how did we get here?" route, or something else? Still, I'm entertained so far. In other words, the cover looks beautiful! Question, is there a reason that "Moms" is pluralized?

Huh, I was not expecting our heroine to have a previous love interest. But Julius seems to be a nice guy, and he's trying to protect Rue and her allies by telling her the truth. Or at least, what he knows. And yet, the truth is even worse than it seems. But why would Leo be here, of all places?! Does his boss know?!

Well damn. Things have gone from bad to worse. How is Rue going to protect her sister Tasha from both the Chancellor and the criminals of their home city? Also, I have a feeling our heroine is gonna need more cash, lest she be forced into stealing to survive. At least she has a hideout to call home.

Well... That didn't last long. And so far, Aasim seems to be a rotten bastard. Or at the very least, a terrible father. At least Rue has her best friend Bri by her side. Also, the narration between the past and the present is done really well!
