Buckbeak is doomed!

Snape, Malfoy, et al, are quite the most despicable creatures committed to the page.

Buckbeak!

Hippogriffs, animagi, boggarts, spellotape, the world building is one of the most powerful features of this series. JKR has an excellent capability to make the extraordinary seem perfectly reasonable - and that's part of her charm as an author.

At the Leaky Cauldron, and Ron & Hermione have arrived.

Completed ch 1. It's such a wonderful joy to be re-reading this series with the good folks over at fantasy buddy reads. (Started early - as I can't wait...)
